For those infected with the Human Papillomavirus, or HPV, around the anus - no cure or removal method can come too fast. Getting rid of anal warts is a priority, as this STD is embarassing and unsightly. Believe it or not, few people who actually have warts around the anus even know it. Anal warts are usually painless and it's in an area that often doesn't see much sunlight, if you know what I mean.

For those with anal warts, believe it or not many of the very same home remedies and wart removal methods for common plantar and hand warts also work on these warts. Things like the famous duct tape treatment - where you place duct tape over your wart(s) for a week or two can actually work sometimes for removing these warts. You may have to do it for several weeks, but you should begin to see a reduction in the size and hardness of the warts as treatment persists.

If you go to the doctor for treatment of anal warts, it's likely they'll recommend some sort of  topical cream or some other type of self-administered treatment option that you can do from home. Asode from home treatments,  your doctor may offer the option of cryosurgery in which liquid nitrogen is used to to freeze the wart, which will kill the virus and cause it to eventually fall off in a week or so.

Even with all the aforementoned treatments, it's possible that the warts will grow back. Killing the virus is sometimes impossible, though in most cases after one or two treatments you may be anus wart free, which I'm sure will be a good feeling.
